The September 13 publisher decision supersedes the earlier pending-review language in the protocol. This release adds public-route integration, citation links and a September 26 recheck of the three CFPB mechanism sources. Publication edition date: 2026-09-27. Cite the finding and row IDs with their assumptions. These are modeled cases, not a borrower sample. CFPB sources support mechanisms and limitations, not the hypothetical rates. The chart presentation was revised and approved September 26, 2026. Payment/cost bars now align by loan length; rate thresholds have clearer labels and a responsive layout. Study data and numerical results did not change.
