Editorial policy
This policy covers how we research, write, review, and update everything on Rung. It applies to every page. And it sits above any business deal we have.
Sourcing
Costs and terms come from providers' own disclosures, public filings, and other primary sources. Where we model a cost, we show our assumptions in plain sight. Anything we estimate is labeled as such until we replace it with cited figures. We don't restate marketing claims as fact.
Expert review
Consumer-finance writers write the guidance. Credentialed experts — accredited financial counselors (AFC®) and financial educators — review it before it's published. The reviewer's name and the review date appear on the page. Review means we check the guidance for accuracy and fairness. It does not mean we back any product.
Independence from revenue
The editorial team sets rankings and verdicts using our rating rubric. Business deals are handled separately. They can't change a score, a ranking, or a "wrong for you" section. See how we make money for the full separation.
Updates & corrections
Every page shows when it was last reviewed. We re-check figures on a regular cycle, and again after any major change to a product's terms. If you spot an error, email corrections@rungfinancial.com — we fix mistakes fast and note the big ones.
